The story goes like this: a friend of a friend was the editor of Just17. We were nattering at a party and I said, for some reason: "I'm giddy ... with gladness". She decided this would make a fun sticker to go with the other fun stickers that were to accompany a forthcoming edition. And it came to pass, something I had written, sat alongside Keanu on the leaf of stickers that wrapped around Just Seventeen. I bought a copy of the magazine in a small village near Durham when I was working away from home: I can't remember whether I felt the need to explain to the shopkeeper why I was buying a magazine intended for teenage girls, but I do remember I was both nervous and wonderfully excited.
