Mailing
the Simon Armitage Web Site
I get a lot of mail at the Simon Armitage Web Site, which is fantastic.
I certainly endeavour to answer as much as I can, as accurately
as I can. So please feel free to carry on sending me your mail.
If there is any inaccurate information on here, please let me know,
similarly if there any features you want to suggest, anything that
you think is rubbish or that you dislike, I would love to hear it.
Also, any praise is gratefully received.
However, I hope you don't mind me pointing out the following:
The Simon Armitage Web Site is run by Craig Smith, not Simon Armitage.
While this is Simon's official site, he does not see any of the
emails that are sent in. He is a private person and I will do all
I can to protect his privacy.
Your Poetry
I get a lot of emails asking for Simon to evaluate the emailer's
own poetry. Unfortunately, that is a service I cannot offer on this
site. If you are a young poet just starting out, my suggestion is
find a Poetry Workshop in your Town and attend that. This is how
Simon started out. The people who run Poetry Workshops are dedicated
people who know how to help a young poet get published. They are
also a lot of fun: it is how I know Simon, and we have known each
other for getting on for 20 years. Your local library will have
addresses of contacts for Poetry Workshops in your area.
Once again, I am sorry I am unable to help.

Readings
If you want to book Simon for a reading, the best bet is to write
to:
DGA (David Godwin Associates)
55, Monmouth Street
London
WC2H 9DG
So finally, if you want to email the Simon Armitage Web Site, and
your request isn't for an evaluation of your own poetry, for exam
information or to book Simon for a reading, please use the following
email address.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
