Moon Country sees two poets, Armitage and Maxwell, set
off in 1994 to explore Iceland, its unique geography and its
ancient political institutions. Their findings are presented
in this book, which is a mixture of poetry, prose, reportage
and imaginative elaboration, and aims to reflect contemporary
concerns. Their journey follows the footsteps of W.H. Auden
and Louis MacNeice and their trip to Iceland.

Glyn Maxwell and Simon Armitage, Freelance Presenters
working on behalf of the British Broadcasting Corporation,
will be travelling to Iceland between 25th August and 11th
September, 1994, and I hereby authorise them to carry recording
equipment consisting of:

(2) 1 SONY D7 Kit No. 1 Serial number 44998
Could you please afford them all the appropriate help
necessary for them to carry out their duties.
I confirm that the equipment is necessary for them to
record material to be included in programmes to be transmitted
on BBC Radio, and I furher confirm that the equipment is not
for resale and will be returned to the UK after use.
